In 2001, Villa San Maurice Winery created its first wine for commercial
consumption – a delicious Pinot Grigio with elegant flavors and notes, drawing on the Italian heritage of the winemaker. The result was a spectacular wine showcasing the ability of a California vineyard to produce this wonderful, Italian varietal. For the next 9 years, Villa San Maurice perfected its pinot grigio and built a loyal following for the delicious wines.
In 2010 Angelo Pera took over the reins of Villa San Maurice Winery and expanded the line of wines to include Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir. With the winery located in California’s Central Coast, Villa San Maurice wines are able to produce incredible wines from multiple different micro-climates within the Central Coast Region.

Keeping with the Italian heritage of the winery, Angelo Pera and winemaker Philip Zorn are hand-crafting delicious wines that showcase the fruit and terroir where it is grown, in an elegant, fruit-forward style. We feel that wines are meant to be enjoyed and should be soft and pleasurable. Each wine is crafted to be enjoyable and interesting in your mouth, leaving an essence of the natural terroir to challenge your senses. Our wines are never over-oaked. We use only the best
